Transmision wont go into 3rd or 4rd help..
everything was working fine.. i decided to launch it in 4wd so i stalled it when i let off it left really slow.. i didnt bother thinking about it.. came to a red light and and took off but it took off in second.. kept going but it wouldnt shift into 3rd.. slowed down dropped it to 1st and it down shfted.. then put it in second and it shifted fine.. popped it into 3rd and it swouldnt shift.. its stuck in 2nd.. what can it be? something in the valve body? it doesnt shift into 3rd at all. im letting the truck cool off but the transmission was cold i had just turned it on when i did that.. any help will help.. thanks. btw transmission was built a couple months ago.. its on a hd2 shift kit and all the other goodies..

Actually the limp in mode you're referring to will allow for 3rd gear starts, manual 2nd and no 1st or 4th and no converter lock up.

Ok so last night I went ahead a unplugged battery checked all my fuses and unplugged the transmission and then put everything back in and this morning everything worked again. Thanks alot I guess it was an electrical issue.
