If I go with the kit I will have them put it in at the same time they do the tune.

OK Mitch is not the tuner but the office guy. Very knowledgeable guy but not a tuner. You need to talk with Dan the tuner. The shift kit will clean up the shifts and in theory should reduce slippage when shifting. Thus adding life to the clutches and the band. Also with the shift kit the lockup apply is modified reducing the pwm function. This should make the tcc last longer as well.

Leaving the line pressure stock will help it last a lil longer with the shift kit. Mine is 15% or so above stock pressure and sometimes i wonder how long my rearend is going to last. Its not crazy hard unless the tires grip. Otherwise its just a jolting tire spin.
Left about a 2.5 foot blackmark yesterday on my 1-2 shift after a rolling start.
I had the pressure bumped up because my stock tranny was giving out and would take forever to shift, Bumped it up to give it a lil help but it eventually got tired. I now have an FLT4 that Vince (above poster) built.
