Default Transmission gauge help needed

Ok I want to add a tru-cool to my truck but before I do I want add a gauge with pod, my ? Is were would the best spot be to go into the pan to get the most accurate reading.

Doesn't seem to matter. You can put a bung anywhere on the pan or you can put the sensor in the pressure port. People have observed similar readings in both places.

Pressure port, could u tell me what's side that would be on ?

On my 03 4l80e the pressure port is located on the drivers side by the shift linkage

good to know....my sending unit looks like the water temps sender in the cylinder head
