Default Transmission info display very dim after 80 swap

Finished the 80 swap in my 03 silverado.
Upon starting it I noticed that the Trans info display was a lot dimmer than before. Here is what it looks like if you look closely you'll see it's in reverse

Before the swap the display was as bright as the odometer display..
Any tips or suggestions?

I would go over all of your grounds and also look closely at the MLPS on the side of the trans to make sure all the pins look good. From the picture it almost looks like half your bulbs are blown!

Some of the bulbs are blown, 265k on the clock and its just broke in for some boost! When I did the swap I tried to unplug the mlps and didn't know it was glued in there. End result I pulled a pin from the main plug( the larger of the two) but I had a spare and de-pinned it and heated it up and shoved it back in.
I heated it to make all the glue soft enough to let me plug the main harness back into the mlps. I will review the plug and see what I find

They do make replacement ends for repairs like this as well. In the future a hair dryer, heat gun or an old fashion drop light with a regular old bulb work well for heating this connection up for easier removal. I use to take my drop light and hang it right on the switch when I started removing the dive shafts and other stuff. After about 20 minutes the plugs would come out pretty easy and never had an issue.

I can't see how a trans swap would affect the gear display.
