Mines been fine so far behind my lq9 with heads and cam. Its got a shift kit and full billet servos. Shifts really strong.

I dont drive it easy either.

So I think it's pretty clear from these posts. Romp on 6.0 all the time = dead 4L60e
Keep 6.0 below 3000 most of the time = lively tranny

you're hard on **** though my 5.3(with more rwhp than your 6.0 ) has 49,000 miles with just servos...still chirps 1-2shift

Any truth to the rumor that earlier 60e's had more metal parts in them compared to more plastic parts in later 60's?

yes there is more plastic in the new ones....and mine is slowly dying on me as we speak...course its not a 6.0L but it is a crewcab and all that weight aint helpin it none

Well I hate to brag but I have an 2000 truck LQ4 with a Radix that runs 12's and I'm not easy on it at all. Oh yeah, 190k and still shifting great :-) I put a plate-and-fin trans cooler on it the week I bought it. The Radix has been on for a few months and the 6.0 for a few years.
