Default transmission rebuilder

Im having a built up 4l60E installed in about 2 weeks from a builder out of Tampa (I dont know if I can mention them because they are not a sponsor) This tranny is advertised to handle 550 hp
The transmission includes:
reprogramming update kit
shift kit
raybestoes 9 clutches(replaces 5 clutches in the 3-4 drum)
9 clutch pack has specialized heat treated steels
all new reybestoes high temp energy clutches though out the rest of the unit
all new steels, bands, bushings, and ring
.500 bosst valve
10 vane pump rotor
4140 hardened pump rings
Teflon pump bushing
29 element sprag
sonnax wide open throttle valve
over sized hardended sun gear shell 3 times thicker than factory
hardened input shaft n drum
high temp pro series raybestos, kevlar bands
transmission cooler

Im also adding a high performance converter that will have a 2400 stall and there was something else they said to upgrade because I told them I would be running nitrous (he laughed when I told him I had been running nitrous for about a year on a stock truck) but cant remember what it was (price went up 300dollars). I wanted to run a 3200 stall because of future engine mods but they said with factory cam I would fry the tranny and to use a 2400 stall u ntill then?

The total price out the door pull and replace was $2000.00 does this sound resonable, are there any other questions I can aske them? they have been in business for 20years and have been great to deal with so far.
Thanks in advance

That sounds like a good deal for that type of trans, the sun gear shell is weak link in most 4L60E I have seen. You might want to ask about corvette servo. Are the high temp plates the Blue Plate Specials? Most tranny shop don't replace the bushings except for the pump and tailshaft, I would ask about all the bushings. The most important thing to ask is how long is the warranty, I would spend that kind of money without at least a 1 year warranty.

It is a one year warranty, I will be sure to ask them about the blue plate specials and bushings. What exactly does the corvette servo do, I have heard that mentioned a lot.

The corvette servo puts more pressure on the 2-4 band, which reduces slippages.

Your trans already has a 13 vain pump. You wouldnt want 10.I dont think you would want a pump bushing made of teflone

you talk to most tranny builders and they will agree a 10 vain pump flows well enough and is stronger than a 13 vain. at least in my months of research this is what i have found.
