transmission and transfer case interchangability
I have a 1996 4L80E out of a 3/4 ton 2wd diesel truck. It has the 6 bolt hexagon shaped bolt pattern on the extension housing. After rebuilding the trans and swapping output shafts would it be possible to mate a NP 261 (01-07 NBS 3/4 ton floor shift) transfer case to it? Would the 01-07 adapter have the same 6 bolt hexagon pattern on the transmission end?
