Default truck wont go in reverse after trans-go HD2 install

hey guys, i put a ss3600 yank, vette servo, 40,000GVW cooler and trans go hd2 kit in my 03 4l60e 2wd and now the truck wont go in reverse. the fluid level is good and the truck moves in drive but when you put it in reverse the transmission does nothing.

the only step i left out during the install was step 2 on page 2 "grind 1/16" to 3/32" chamber on the manual valve for faster reverse release"

any ideas would be appreciated since im clueless about transmissions

I would go back and check everything. They wouldnt put somthing in there instructions if you didnt have to do it. Also make sure you didnt lose anything or forget to put somthing in.

The manual valve mod is really not needed in late model units so don't worry about that. There are two things I would check. First is the little plate that bolts to the separator plate in the rear of the case. If the bolts are loose you will loose oil pressure and not have reverse or a slipping reverse. The other idea I have is that you installed the 8 MM headed bolts in the wrong locations. This can and will lock the gear train. I would not attempt to drive this vehicle to you figure what is wrong. Yeah when I had the SS3600 in my old truck, my truck wouldn't move at all when idleing in gear.

One other thing to check is the boost valve. I have seen where the snap ring does not get fully installed and cause this issue as well. Recently I have seen some issues with the TG boost valve sleeve. Make sure that both holes do not have any burs in the holes on the outside of the sleeve. This could cause low boost pressure when in reverse as well. Good luck getting it all sorted out and please make sure to report back what you find. Vince
