TruCool 40K question
#53
Sounds like a nice setup....my trucool has been performing flawlessly, through the 95-100* days we've been having, with me driving "spiritedly" (gotta romp on the new trans and verter ). I just check it periodically for leaks after the install...knock on wood, so far, so good

Yeah I run the hell out of my truck and I know the trans is getting a beating.
So I'm going to do another filter and fluid swap when I do the cooler and temp gauge install. Any special you guys recommend?
I was also thinking of a differant trans pan that hold more fluid, but I'm not 100% it will clear my low profile transmission x member.

I use the factory filter and gasket kit, and regular old conventional DexIII...Valvoline went in my FLT Level7 when I did the swap. I'll probably give them a call when I do my next filter to see what they recommend. My truck came with the factory deep pan which seems to be working out fine. I've considered a Deep pan like the B&M, but I don't think that it would work out with my y-pipe.

Yeah the 4L60E in the 355s(colorados/canyons) came with a factory deep pan too.
Well with the help/advice from you guys and my fellow 355ers I have come out with the remaining info I needed to make this cooler install easy as pie!
The lines are super easy with this one part:
The Hayden 397 fitting for the 2000+ GM truacks
