Default TruCool in Cold Weather

...has anybody done it? Without the external cold weather bypass? Curious to see how the trans temps were, and if it got warm enough for lockup operation? Going to be installing my TruCool straight up with no thermal bypass, and even though my truck won't see as much winter use as it used to, I'd still like to take it out on crisp January days just to "blow it out"

Thanks in advance!

That's good news...it gets below zero here at times, but not too often...actually not at all last winter. When it's that cold the truck will be sleeping anyway

I think I read in one of the other threads that you picked up one of the bracket/installation kits from Time2Kill, I know you will like it. Not that they are hard to install or anything like that without one, it just sure makes it a breeze and I definitely like the idea of no rubber hoses and clamps.

Yessir Jarrod, I also picked up the factory cooler kit, since my truck didn't come with the factory cooler, so I can use the Time2Kill kit the way it was intended. I plan to paint everything black to try to make it look as stock as possible

I am running one, with out it running through the radi, just the cooler to the trans, even when its cold it stays about 105-110 deg, might peak 120 in 100 def weather, thats if I am hard on it or doing a ton of city driving..

That's kinda cool John, shouldn't the trans temp be at least 150*? Dunno, I could be wrong...

Mine should run warmer though since I'm going through the rad...gonna go up to a 180* stat when I do the 6.0 too, currently running a 160*, although I'm not sure where Justin is setting the fans at...probably a little higher than they are now...
