I dont know about you billy, but anytime its really cold here im always letting my truck warm up a good 10min before i even go anywhere and have no lockup problems(stock cooler tho)or at least getting up to around 110-120* around freezing temps. locks up within a couple minutes unless its super cold and am driving in single digits. and im guessing since you have another ride you wont even be out in stuff that cold with your truck, so i would think you would be alright also fwiw..

There might be a gayer breeze blowing in Maryland.

John, I always thought 140* at min. up to say 160*, maybe 175* at most.

Thanks man, yea I let it warm up until I stop shivering enough to grab the steering wheel lol...a good 5-10 minutes. As you mentioned, as long as the Blazer's running, the truck will be sitting on those days anyway

Oh yea, ordered the trucool today...same guy that Tom fastnblu ordered his from, great price with free shipping

from what ive read on here its thru trans temp which is around 70*. might have to meet both temps to before commanding lockup, but coolant will always be hotter so i would be more concerned with the trans temp first..

So, is there a minimum coolant temp that PCM says, "Uh uhh, no lockup for you?"

EDIT: Just saw skolman posted a reply to that. Thoughts, Goodwrench?
