Default true trac or detroit locker?

I broke my posi on my truck at SAR and was wondering if any one had any experience with a detroit locker on a street driven (rain or shine) vehicle.I have seen my friends run the true trac but, I hate to putting one in and then braking it and having to spend more money again.

from what i hear a locker is good for weekend drivers, and tru-trac is the most street friendly.

Anybody have issue with the trutrac not working right in the rain and such? Internet rumor claims because the torsen design of the trutrac has to "sense" traction to work (which is true) but that rain makes you go one-tire fire so I wasn't too sure..

my tru-trac works in the rain...but in a perfect world, you dont want it to work in the rain. 1 tire fire is safest in the rain.
