Thats what I just installed, Rossler TH400 w/transbrake. I love it. I have 3.42 rear gears and it cruises at 2500rpm's at 60. That is with a PI Vig 3200 stall. Its like having a 3 speed stick shift without the clutch.

Yeah, I've been driving mine on the street since it's my DD and the rpm's aren't bad at all. Of course I drove the T56 around in 4th (1:1) for a couple weeks to get used to it. I have no idea how fast I'm going though, because I can't figure out the speedo settings for the TH400.

your going to have to do all the same crap to make a 400 fit, so why not just throw a 80e in and be happy?

The TH400 swap isn't all that bad, and you can't get an 80E with a t-brake a RMVB for under $5000 for the tranny alone, and its really not nearly as much work as an 80E IMO. I'm just a retard and I can't figure out the VSS pulses per mile. Other than that there's no tuning, and the converters for a TH400 are more readily available and 1/2 the price. I plan on running 3.08's or 3.23's with my 31.9" tires, so for me it's not much worse if not better than some dudes running 29" tires and 3.73's-4.10's.

Rossler makes a trans brake for a 4L80E.It's on their web site. The only down side for the 4L80E is the tall 2.48 first gear, but it offers closer gear spacing with a 1.48 second 1.0 third and a .75 fourth.
