excuse the ignorance, but what exactly is bumpsteer? Hitting the bumpstops and causing the steering wheel to turn? or am I completely off base?

Bumpsteer has nothing to do with the rear end and everything to do with the front end. Its when your truck pulls left and right when you hit bumps in the road. I LCA drops seem to cause some bumpsteer but the spindles decrease the already shitty turning radius so take your pic at which you would rather sacrifice. lol

Has anyone heard if the 8 lug Mcgaughys Spindles have the same problem with reduced turning radius?

OK, not to bash but I just found this thread. I have a mcgaughys 2inch spindle with 4inch shackles. Absolute Crap!! Ride quality and handling is great but my truck looked like ****! My front was almost two inches higher than the back! I called them and they replied "all chevys lower differently" uh bullshit. I had the installer raise the back up a notch on the shackle to make it look a little better. front is still a tad higher. I actually bought a 1inch drop spring from eibach. turning radius went to hell as well. I hate mcgaughys
