Un-conventional Setup
I dont know if this has been attempted in the past (I am guessing it has somewhere along the way)
has anyone ever thought about putting an Allison transmission behind a high powered motor? It has been tried and beaten all to hell and has been proven to be a damn strong tranny from what I know. Would you have to run a stand alone computer system to control the tranny functions? how would the converter mate up etc etc... I know it will bolt up to a GENIII bell housing but how about the deails.... I was just thinking about the extra gear and the closer ratios and the capacity of it...
-I know everyone's going to say, "Just do an 80E instead" but why not try somehting a little different.
408ci + 200hp Nitrous + Allison = cool....
-any thoughts?

I think it would be totally awsome to have the 6 speed. However, you are going to have a tradeoff between the weight of the thing. If its built to handle more power than the 80e, it is without a doubt heavier and will cause even more parasitic loss to the wheels.
