Default used 15k mile 4L80 with HD-2....will it hold up to....

I am trying to decide between buying a mail ordered transmission for $2200 AND pay for shipping or just get a used 4L80 and add some parts to it....I have a few questions about what would be better suited for what I want to do...I figure that I can do it two different ways.....just wondering if either option is worth it compared to the mail order trans....
A: I could get a low mileage one like with 15k miles on it (found one for $1000) and just put the transgo HD2 kit in it.
B: I could get a higher mileage one (100K miles) for something like $600 and then have a trans shop here in southern california rebuild it with good parts, and the HD-2 kit....

I like the simplicity of the mail order 4L80, but its $2200 not afraid to spend the money and do it right....I've just seen a few people who have done a 4l65 to 4L80 conversion and said it was cheaper than other people thought....I have an 07 2WD RCSB silverado with a 5.3 in it....my future plans are to have a TVS1900 on it with a GT2-3 cam and some long tubes.....the 80E seems to be the way to go instead of just putting 4L65 after 65 in it once the blower is on it.....I'd rather get a good trans in it now that isnt going to fall apart when I daily drive the truck and play with it at the track every once and a while with my drag radials on it (already have some et streets mounted and ready to go)......
I would like to add a 2800 stall converter with the 80E.....what do you guys think about doing things with the used junk yard trans instead of buying from a mail order trans place? If you guys have any advice with the 80 build/swap or experiences you'd like to share about doing your 80 swap and how it's held up.....I'd love to hear them!

what do ya think would be the better route on the junk yarder.....low mileage with just the shift kit and a new filter......OR a high mileage one with a complete rebuild from a local place.....not sure how much cash it would be to completely rebuild an 80 with good street/strip parts.....anyone had to do that yet?

As long as you know it is a good working trans, slap the kit in it and motor on.. It will cost 1k+ for a rebuild..
