Default V6 springs

Hey guys. I have an 01 Silverado. I remember seeing people putting v6 springs on the front of their trucks. Is the spring rate better for weight transfer? If so how much does it drop the front end. Thanks for the help.

I have a 3/5 drop now. I have lowering control arms on it and a bell tech flip kit on the rear. I'm in the process of changing shocks. Qa1 r series up front and afco double adjustables for the rear. I was just wondering if changing the springs would have made a difference

Youll want a double adjustable up front if you can afford them

Stock v8 springs will still do job well

Make sure your suspensions is free moving

I almost went with a double adjustable but I didn't because I didn't figure I needed to worry about compression. What would be the importance of a double adjustable on the front of a truck? I figured you would only need a double adjustable if you were pulling the front tires. Sorry for the newb question. Trying to learn. Thanks again for the help.

Compression on front is very important...if front slams down to fast it will unsettle rear....fronts should be doubles and if had to cheap out then do so on rears

Well since I already have everything I'll try it out. If I have to I'll switch to a da. Hopefully being the R series it will help out with unloading the rear tires.
