Default vacuum modulated valve body... yes or no

I HAVE to get another tranny (#4 BTW) after putting in my rearend and converter this weekend, my trans is slipping BADLY!!! and its not the stall... anyway...

do I get another same ole same ole tranny? or do I get one with a vac valve body.... any of you run one?? how do you like it. I have driven and ridden in a coupe trucks with vac valve bodys installed in them and liked the progressively firmer shifts but how about longevity... let me know what you guys like out there...

I voted yes, white1 has one in his and I don't think it could shift more consistant or more reliable... but then again, FLT did build the tranny and they don't just put their name on anything

I have one in my 80E, and from what I have read all of the reputable tranny builders swear by them. I even asked my guy if he would put EPC back in and he said no way, he wouldn't build a tranny with EPC. Seems like something that was invented to create the seamless comfortable shifts that most people like on their bone stock cars.

I added vacuum modulated shifts to my current FLT 4L80E transmission and really like the soft part throttle shifts,my last 4L80E barked the tires on every shift.I'm running a supercharger so I had to add the check valve kit to protect the modulator from boost.Vacuum modulation is definately the best way to go.
