I ordered in 2 FLT's. I was absolutely sold after the first one. Worth every penny imo.

This only happens if you use the resistor that is supplied in the kit from transgo. We use an actual epc solenoid as the resistor and don't see alot of problems here.

wonder if my rig would benefit from some vacuum modulations?

not if its an FLT unit, I believe they take care of that issue at the shop!

You can get the desired operation with programming but it's too much of a hassle with the stock PCM in my opinion. Everything is translated to shift times and temperature correction factors in a bunch of table for all the different modes and conditions. If I didn't have the TCI TCU which makes defining duty cycle as easy as RPM vs TPS, I'd go for vacuum modulation myself. I voted vacuum modulation. Transmission builder prefer this too because it eliminates the very real possibility of programming toasting the transmission. If the vacuum line comes off it goes to max line pressure and you WILL know.

so the vacuum modulation takes care of all things related to the downshift? and/or part throttle shifts? WOT as well?

yes it does everything like the electric one does but faster and stronger. just the fact that i have a decent sized cam and i noticed it with the breaks and the 1-2 traffice shift.

its harsh at 8mph but only cause of the lack of vaccum from using the brakes.

put it this way i wont get another tranny built without it

so then my next question is, what settings are used via the pcm? and with vacuum modulation can you still lock the verter via the pcm?
