i have an 06 rcsb with stock 4l60e and i just installed a corvette servo because of sluggish shifting from 1-2 at WOT. the servo made a noticeable difference but still not as tight as i would like...i read a thread about flipping the 4 piston to tighten up the shifts more...does anyone recomend this? im getting a tune soon after i get new gears for the rear end. should i wait and see if the tune helps the firmness before any other changes? and as for the tune im looking at nelson and wheatley...how do they compare? thanks

Never heard about flipping the 4th piston, but that wont help any on the 1-2 I dont think. If you want to make the most out of that Vette servo you will need to have the trans tuned for it.

I got a Nelson mail order tune and he firmed the shifts up real nice. Then I put a vette servo in and it was too much, I felt like it banged into 2nd too hard, in my opinion anyway. I should have got it tuned for the servo but never did and traded the truck. Not sure if that helps but that was my experience.

All the tuners here are good. Black near does a great job and its more of a tune for your specific truck and the mods u have. About as close to a dyno tune as u can get without going to a dyno. And iff u add parts you can get retuned for no cost

My Nelson mail order made a big difference and I really enjoyed it. But I will say that I wondered what I was missing since it has to be fairly generic, since it would have worked for about any similar truck. This time I'm going black bear autocal. Really looking forward to it, never heard anything but positive comments.
