Vette Servo....long pin or stock pin??
Ordering the vette servo, I notice they have a long pin kit and then a kit with just the servo(which I assume uses the stock pin). Which one is "better"?

The longer pin is to reduce 2-4 band clearance for a "supposed" quicker apply. A pin that is too long will cause the band to drag and burn up. Realisticlly speaking, 80% of my transmissions, the stock pin is just right.

Correct. Odds are, that pin will be too long, but it could be just right. Usually when I sell servo's, I include band adjustment shims (from the TransGo kit) at no charge, so if your current pin is OK, discard the shims and if its a little short, then use them accordingly.
To know if the pin is the correct length, assemble and install the servo minus all seals. Put the cover and snap-ring in place and measure the travel of the servo cover. The cover should have between 1/16" and 1/8" travel. Once correct, dissasemble and install all seals and reinstall.

Well to support the business of active members here........you wanna sell me a servo kit with the shims you mentioned or will that come with the HD2 kit when I order? I was just going to order the servo kit off of ebay from OPT, but if you have the kit and are willing to sell at a comparable price, I'm game
