Vibration from a drop shackle on standard cab?
Ok guys, standard cab, long bed, one piece drive shaft. I installed a rear shackle at the same time as I put on new wheels and tires (now balanced 3 times). I'm having an intermittent vibration issue. Wondering if it could be for the 2" drop shackle. In changing the shackle all I could do is decrease the transmission yolk angle (rotated CW) and change the drive shaft angle in accordance with the height, correct? Pinion angle didn't change. Just wondering if any of you with standard cabs have had this happen as I see it discussed most with EC's.
I really should just put my old wheels and tires on and check, but haven't gotten around to that yet and was just curious for some other opinions.

You need to get a shim kit to change the pinion angle. The shackle kit I got already had shims with it. check online to buy them(2), the ones that came in mine were 2* shims. Or go to a driveline shop and have them check the angle and then get the shims from them.

If you tighten down the bolts holding the shackles, too much, it will cause vibration. I had the same problem and I called DJM and they told me to loosen up the bolts. I did and the vibrations stopped. Did you just do a 2" drop in the rear? If you did, you shouldn't need the shim. It's when you get up to 3 and more (according to DJM tech).
