Default Vibration Shimmy While Towing

OK guys....I have a 2005 Yukon 2wd and when I tow my 4wheelers w/5x14 trailer I noticed a vibration around 65mph. This week I towed a 18ft car hauler 1000 miles w/o car and 1000 miles w/car and vibration was much worse. I thought it was just the trailer but when pulling trailer w/another truck there is no vibration. Truck has stock suspension so no problem due to lowering. I am thinking tranny issue. Possibly torque converter. I know I am going to have fun explaining this to GM dealer next week so I wanted to have as much input as possible. Thanks.

Any codes or ses lights? Is it possible that you are having a lock up vibration?

I believe it has something to do with the lockup. Is it possible for a torque converter to be out of balance? I have towed much bigger loads on other trucks and never experienced this.

Is the trailer weight sagging the rear of your Tahoe?
If it is, the tongue weight is too much and is causing your pinion angle to go out of specs.
My 2000 ECSB silverado would do it when too much weight was in the back.
