you use the ss3600, right? After having the tt3000 and the ss3600, would you even bother with the tt3000?

No sir I do not have the ss3600 but I know exactly how they are, been in many trucks with them and many other different converters
No if I were to do it again I would definatly go higher than the TT3000
However,if you do tow then the TT3000 is a good one as it is not goo to be towing with a 9.5 converter
I hear Yank is coming out with a 3200 that you can still tow with

I hardly ever tow, but it really kills me that I'd be doing something that would render my truck useless as a truck. I've done a lot of searching here and ls1tech and I found much more positive about Vig and Circle D than Yank. So I'm looking at the Vig or cirle D. I wonder what the performance difference is between the 9.5 and 10.5". I'm still not convinced I need a triple disk converter but it would be nice to have it.

What Yank is comparable to the Vig 9.5" 3200 triple disk?

Depends which yank but a triple disk can hold more usually than a single disk
Thats why alot with boost and or nitrous run the triple disk,so they can lock the converter safely

My previous converter was a single disc 2800 stall Vig, and I have to say the lock up on the triple disc feels much stronger, shakes the whole truck. When I went to the 3000 stall with my new built trans, my ET's dropped almost .4 in the 1/4 mile......."

Although he did go up slightly in stall speed it sounds like the triple disk added performance over the single disk.

I would be so nice if I could actually ride in/drive a stalled truck. Trying to pick something just based off reading isn't too good I think. St. Louis has no performance scene for trucks whatsoever. Good news is hopefully ill be moving into Texas in 2 years.

If you lived in my area I'd let you drive mine.
