Yukon makes a 4.30 listed for an 8.5, which the gears are the same between a 8.5 and a 8.625 as the difference is in the carrier bearings.

I just bought 4.30's yesterday form Jawsgear.com. I think it's gonna be a perfect middle for me. I went from 3.73's so a small jump to 4.10 didn't seem worthy. I wanted to have a middle ground between 4.10 and 4.56. The site calc said it should cruise 70 with my 28" tire @ 2600. I think I'm really gonna be really happy. But I have an SHO that I daily drive 60 miles a day to work.

It weighed 4970 with the backseat/subs/spare tire/tailgate, removed.

I found a guy with 4.56s in his truck so I am waiting on hearing what he says before I make my decision between the 4.30s or 4.56s. I just want something different, so 4.10s are a definet no-go.

I went with 4.56s and I mean they are friggin awesome. If this thing hooks, that front left tire will have no choice but to come off the ground!!!

...or should I just stay with the 4.10s?

Well, then stop doin 140. Duh! What a heavy pig! I hope ya like your new gears, Joshua.

I've never had anything bigger than 3.42. I also use mine for a DD. For me personally, a DD w/ anything betw. 3.42 - 4.10 is perfect. Let us know how u like em.
