Well I sold my first v6 set. Then after tracking down another set, I got them home and measured then and they spec'ed out like v8s. Checked the vin number of truck, turns out it was a Extened cab... So god bless America, I'm just going to run my lowering springs that now have a spacer on the drivers side and longer struts. Prolly try a custom one later, but right now im tired of working on spring swaps.

So the springs in a extended cab with a v6 is the same as if It had a v8? My truck came with the smooth ride option. Any differences in front springs?

I'm not sure, this is what I went off of and the EC v6 springs measured 5.875.

Hmm...The only way to know for sure if there's a difference between the EC V6 coils and RC V8 coils is if a GM parts geek could cross reference for us. It's possible that you got EC V6 coils which are the same as EC V8 coils. RC V6 coils have to be different though.

What happended to the Santhuff springs? Just slap those bad boys in there and forget about the factory stuff.

I dont see how the springs are different at all. The motors weigh very close to the same. Is there different part numbers???

Damn, I didn't see that. I just re-read it and saw that the Santhuff springs were only 18" long. Those things should've probably been 20-22" at the very least. Oh well, you live and learn. Thanks for trying that out for us though and it's cool that they took them back.

I hate to say it, but if those things weren't bound up, they probably would've worked really well at the track. They would've **** themselves on the street in no time though. Lol. Check out that TBSS again, those springs are on the verge of binding.

Little update. Been 1.50 with 30's and lowering springs. Decided to try Lightning JDM drags springs.

Well.......Swing and a Miss. Uncut and with a 1" spacer on the driver side, within 4 hours they settled to where the truck was resting on bump stops and I couldn't fit my first under the bumper. I wish they held the stance they had when I first installed them, but for the now the old springs are back on... I'm 0-2 for drag springs, did get some pictures though with her low. Also modified the rear shackles to make them longer, dropped the rear another 1".

Looked good, but within a week it would have around 2-3" of ground clearance. :?
