Default Weird noise???

My brother has a 99 rcsb. truck has like 180k on it. When he bought it, it had this weird vibrating/hum sound coming from the front end. It sounded the same way a 4wd sounds with oversized tires. It's VERY loud and annoying. So, with that in mind we changed wheels/tires. Well we've done that 3 times and checked the brakes to get the same result. Only other idea I can come up with is wheel bearings. But before we dive off into that, does anyone else have any ideas?

Could for sure be a wheel bearing, they'll howl pretty good if you let them go for long, possibly both fronts could be shot... Is the ABS light on by any chance? Get both front wheels off the ground (safely) and have someone looking at the CV Joint where it goes into the spindle, and wiggle (push/pull top and bottom of the wheel) back and forth, it shouldnt move, if it's moving and you see CV joint wiggling, it's shot for sure (that's probably your vibration/howl). They can still be shot but not be lose like that though, too..

Edit: I guess you didn't say it was a 4x4 just sounded like one.. Same thing applies though, don't look for a cv joint lol :p... Just shake that bad boy and they're shouldn't be any play...

Check the fluid level in the rear and also.... If you have a axle seal leaking and the fluid gets low, that noise will be heard due to axle bearing oil starvation.
