Default Weird scrapping/hissing noise

I have a weird intermediate scrapping/hissing noise that I can audibly hear when moving. It is most noticeable at lower speeds and I *think* I hear it going down the highway (loudish exhaust). The pulse of the sound speeds up with wheel speed, not engine rpm... So I know it isn't the engine at least. Lastly it sometimes is only audible when slight power is added... Please, PLEASE help me figure out this annoying noise!! sounds like my truck is a hunk of rolling around parking lots and stuff.

For hopes sake...please don't let it be transmission.... (I am thinking brakes but I am not sure if there is a easy check or fix that may have already been drummed up)

Maybe a wheel bearing too.

I'd jack up the front end and shake it down. Check for play in the bearings, grab the control arm and spin the tire and feel for vibrations.

What year truck? I'm on a iphone I don't see sigs. Anyhow if it's a gmt800 model I'd check parking brake shoes, I chased as hiss/grind for a year before I for it was that. Good luck

Great idea, didn't even think about the wheel bearings... I will do that as soon as I can find a little time.

It is a 2004 RCSB 4.8 with stock everything really in this regard. So it is disk brakes all the way around.

Might just need brak3 pads and rubbing the indicator.
