Default Well i gotta get new rearend gears.... Cant decide on what ratio...

Well when installing my tranny we noticed that my rearend has WAY to much play in it... I have been noticing a clunk for awhile now... Anyways, i can't decide on which to go with... I currently have 4.10s. So i have have been thinking about dropping down to 3.73s or should i just stick with the 4.10s or stepping up to 4.30s......

decisions, decisions...

ya, i am debating between either fun on the street with 3.73s being able to hold 2nd gear higher in the MPH, or 4.30s for fun at the track...

Stick with Fun at the track and go with the 4:30. BTW just my 2 cents.

Well the rpms are only 100rpm different between 4.10s and 4.30s. And ~150rpms different between 3.73s and 4.10s...

I am starting to lean towards 4.30s...

good choice

the most common gear as of now even on street used trucks are 4:10s, i really think your set up would fit well with 4:30s. but then again 4:56s is the gear for improvement lol

enjoy the 4:30s i think you'll be fine with them

Ya, i think i will get the 4.30s... I have tried to build my setup around being very Torquey down low and midrange... I think the 4.30s will go along with my direction...

I have to ask, what is the point of such a steep gear if you cant put the power to the ground? 1st gear is useless in your truck anyway unless youre worried about track performance but then again how often do you go to the track? If track performance is of concern then Id do 4.30s for sure but if it was me Id run 3.73s since you run a short tire at the strip anyway and youre going to be making plenty of power later on.
