well, today i went to a friends house. wifey was driving doing some logs. no big deal really. we got to our friends house and eat lunch. i come out to move the tahoe and found no reverse. it feels like your brake stalling in reverse. it revs to about 3500 rpm and the turbo spools up but doesn't move at all. put it in drive and it goes foward. put it in 1st same thing as reverse. put it in neutraland rev it, it will try to go faward. this thing has never had a hiccup as far as i could tell. fluid smell like stinky tranny fluid. same way it smelled a year ago when i put it in there. here lately it has been hesitant to shift into first from a rolling stop. and the other day i heard a loud bang when i put it in reverse. but it still backed up and other than that its been great.

don't most trans slip or something before they go? could it be just a loose wire inside or is she done?

i would love to but money is tight. not sure how i'm even going to get the trans. could it be the sunshell that went bad?

 

Sorry to hear this man. My trans is through a real trans shop, he accepts MC and VISA. Preferably VISA since I own stock in VISA. seriously though...
