What is acceptable TCC slip while locked in 4th under a heavy load?

I get no slip at all when locked up in OD, even if I build some boost.

If your converter is a circle d I bet he will stand behind it. The only other than circle d I would have is Precision Industries.

Yeah i not blaming circled on this. It could be tuning, my tranny or just a fluke that caused the failure. I am just pissed cause it happened.

Remember the filter you cloged early on???

I would say that plus the posibilty of the tuning may have led to an early demise....

Hard to say untill it's cut open.

Yep. I will be the first to blame myself. After all it was installed in a tranny i built myself


Yeah when i clogged that filter i wondered what came apart

Unfortunitaly It's expensive to learn a lesson this way. We have all done it...

I would flush the trans, install a new filter and then tear the converter out for a rebuild. You want to get as much of that stuff out as posible before Installing a fresh unit.

Yep i swapped the filter and 6 quarts yesterday. Gonna do it again prior to putting in a new TC.
