Default What Axle ratio on 2000 Trucks 1500 4WD

I've done a search but couldn't find info on specs of different truck models. I hope someone post a sticky with all the truck specs like they did on LS1tech for the LS1/L6 cars.

My question is what axle ratio came on 2000 trucks 4WD 1500 Short Bed Stepside. Is it different or the same ratio if the engine is 4.8 or 5.3 both auto transmission.

2nd question is what injectors size do 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 engines have.

I dont remember the injector size off the top of my head. As far as the gears in teh 4wd you could get 3.42, 3.73, or 4.10. Mine has 3.73 as but most of my buddies, but a few have the 3.42, and I can only think of one or two that got the 4.10 from the factory.

Cool

Look in the glove box for the white label with all the RPO codes for your truck on it.

GHO = 3.54:1
GT4 = 3.73:1
GT5 = 4.10:1
GU4 = 3.08:1
GU6 = 3.42:1
HC4 = 4.65:1

There are others but I don't have them. I think one of those should work for your truck unless it has been replaced with an aftermarket diff.

I believe the injecters are 42 lbs at stock pressure (correct if wrong please). As for gears, you prolly got 3.73's seeing how its a 4wd. It should be on your window sticker if you still have it. If not, take it to your tranny guy and have him look. If you are looking to put new ones in, he should atleast tell you what you already have before you buy new ones.

I'm pretty sure the stock injector size is 24.7 lb/hr on 2000 and up.

I also think they are 24 lb/hr injectors.
