What is the biggest tires i can run with a 4/6 and 22's???
Alright guys, i have decided against the lift and have finally decided that the truck will be going down instead on a set of 22's. Im trying to decide between a 2/4 and 4/6. I will probably be buying mcgaughys but i may use the DJM kit. The problem is, i really want the 4/6 but im pretty sure notching the frame will void the warranty. Well anyways, id like to know what the biggest tire i could run under a 4/6 on 22's is? I have 265/40/22's right now and id like something wider. Im sure i will have to stick with a 35 series sidewall to do it but i just dont know if i can get away with a 285 or not on a 9" wide rim with 5.5" backspacing... What do yall think??
Also, if i find out that the 4/6 will void the warranty for sure and i decide to go with the 2/4, I would like to run like a 285/40/22. Would this work? The wider the better but i dont want to rub. Let me know guys. Thanks!!!

Ok.. I kinda figured that but i didnt know for sure. Would the 265/40/22's look goofy with a 2/4? I actually found a guy with a mcgaughys 2/4 that he used for a couple months before his wife said she was sick of the truck being lowered and he took it off. He has spindles in the front, shackles and leafs in the back and im not sure what kind of shock but he has drop shocks with it too. Everything is mcgaughys i believe. He said he paid $900.00 for the kit and he is asking $500.00 for it. The price seems a little high to me. What do you guys think?

Well i talked to the dealer today and they guy told me that the 4/6 will not void my warranty unless the 4/6 is what causes the problem. Fizzark it! Im going with the 4/6!
