what is the difference between a 60 and a 65e tranny

This is not true. If you look at the RPO codes in your vehicle, look for M32 for the 65 or M30 for the 60. Vince B

so do u think its better to get a 65e for a direct swap or do the 80e and have to move the crossmember, shorten the drive shaft, and deal with wiring adapters. also if i was to go with the 80e, what can i find them in. anything 2500 back to 93 when chevy first introduced the electronic tranny?

by the way these are my plans when i get back from afganistan in may.

tr224 112lsa (the kit with the push rods and springs to match)
obx lt headers
100 wet shot
trutrack w/4.10's
yank 3000 stall
a tune of course
and i need your help to choose the best tranny that wont break for what im doin, i dont think a 80e is needed for that, but then again i dont really know thats y im askin everybodys opinion.
