awesome, that makes it a lot less stressful, I have set up 4 different gear ratios (all in a jeep wrangler) talk about HELL.. though the gears were made in china which is prob. why they were hard as hell to get setup right

I'll go ahead and order the TrueTrac posi

Go with the TT like you mentioned.. and the 3.42s will be just fine.
I have the Eaton posi and ran the stock 3.42s when i had the turbo. Even with the 4L80E it was nice.

Anyone know which one I need, I called up and asked about it and they told me I need the 8.6" one

I found two different ones though. One is strictly for the 8.6" and the other says 8.5" and 8.6". The strictly 8.6" only one is almost $200 more

here are the links

first the strictly 8.6" only

here is the 8.5,8.6 one

The second one is what I got. But I only know that because I got it from rons and it was about ~300.

damn, just called them and they are closed. You are right though- last time I talked to him he said "but make sure you get the one for the 8.6 since it uses different bearings than the 8.5"

but I don't see how the price can change that dramatically just because of different bearings
