Whatever the local Auto Zone has. I prefer Castrol but I've gotten other stuff too, like Coastal....I'm not picky.

Question

How does different tranny fluids mix together? Only reason I ask is because when I add my VIG TC, Transgo shift kit, and servos, what will mix well with the factory stuff left in the tranny and lines? I know most of it will come out with the pan drop and factory TC, but there will still be some left in it.
Is there a way to get all the fluid out when your doing it at home?
Can you blow the lines out with compressed air or not? Or is it even necessary?

You could blow it out with compressed air and even spray some brakleen into the cooler lines if you wanted to, but as long as the the trans didn't blow, it's really not necessary. As far as mixing different brands of ATF with the factory stuff, no worries. As long as you use a quality DexronIII you'll be good to go

Question

Say after this new found power I will have blows my tranny. It will have the expensive PI VIG in it. Will the torque converter still be good?
If so, how would you get the bad trans fluid out of it?

Jim
