I'd never go with just a basic GM 65 for anything with power levels near what I have. For $1400, I'm going to have a built 65 put in, real soon.
Check my 1/4 mile times (in sig). It's no where near the 12's but slips so bad that I really don't know what a realistic time would be.

Im going with a built '65 in my Tahoe. The guys at FLP were confident that it would be fine with the 550+ I plan on putting to the ground. I dont beat on my truck very often though. My '60 with servo and tranny cooler are still holding up well.
