Default What shift kit should I get?

Looking to do some upgrades to my tranny to get better shifts. Right now, all that the tranny has is increased line pressure. Sometimes the shifts are good and sometimes sloppy. What shift kit? Servos? Coolers? Anything i will need to make every shift feel nice and firm, not sloppy, let me know. - Thanks

B&M cooler wont make the shifts any firmer. The Jet servo is just a marked up GM corvette servo. He doesnt ahve a stall so he doesnt need a cooler to help with temp problems.

would the factory cooler be ok with a small stall?? I know if I were ever to go anything over 3000 on the stall I would want the B&M.

if you have a trans temp gauge it MAY be ok, that way you could monitor it and know when to let off.... coolers are real cheap, I think I paid like $60 for mine and the install was real easy!! $60 for extra insurance is not bad...

In the future, i will be adding a yank or precision industries converter. I think i have a stock cooler that is mounted in front of the radiator, but is the B&M better? And does the B&M replace the stock cooler?
Also, how complex is the HD-2 kit to install and where's the best place to get it?

I got all my parts for about 150 or maybe even less shipped from oregon performance transmissions all together... I got:

Transgo HD2 Kit
Hardened seperator plate
aluminum 1-2 **** accumulator piston
vetter servo

it should revive the tranny quite a bit. next step from here is to replace the friction pieces and do some hardened gears etc etc...

oh yeah.. I almost forgot.. Oregon Performance Transmissions is an eBay store... look them up in ebay motors.

what is/what does the 1st-2nd accumulator piston do? I'm ordering the HD2 kit and vette servo......but I heard you only need a new seperator plate if you have a higher mileage tranny?(mine only has 31K miles on it)...

Get a hardened seperator plate anyway

Get this trans cooler
http://www.bulkpart.com/Merchant2/me...roduct_Count=4
I have it on mine and have towed with a 3K stall and it didnt overheat and it is always better to have too much then too little.
