mine only has about 30 on it too... its just extra insurance...

-the piston replaces the stock plastic one in the trans. the plastic one may fail when the tranny pressures are increased. the aluminum one wont. it will give you much faster shifts thus reducing wear on the friction parts... (bands, clutches)

ohhhh, that's right. Do the HD2 install instructions show you how to install the accumulator piston?

I have it on mine and have towed with a 3K stall and it didnt overheat and it is always better to have too much then too little.

Is that tranny cooler practically a bolt in? You just take the lines loose from the radiator and convert to barbs for the cooler, then mount it?

I dont know if the kit's instructions will have the piston instructions but I am sure the piston will have instructions with it... it should be pretty obvious once you get it apart to see where everything goes though.

What about the .490 boost valve? Is it needed, does it come with the HD2 kit?

The list just keeps getting longer....

I guess i'll get all this:
Transgo HD2 Kit
Hardened seperator plate
aluminum 1-2 shift accumulator piston
vette servo
Would the billet servo be better, since i can get everything so cheap on oregon transmission?
Anything else recommended?

the billet servo is a little better but its also quite a bit of a price jump... thats the same parts list that I have with the 'vette servo... I think with all the other stuff the 'vette servo should be fine... OPT has some good prices huh... I will definitely buy from them again. They sent my stuff really quick too.

I am sure there is someone out there that may be cheaper but someone from this site turned me onto OPT and I havent found them for cheaper anywhere... the HD2 kit is like 89 bucks and the sep plate is something like 16.... all their parts are good stuff.. just less expensive. I am sure they buy all their stuff in crazy bulk though so they can afford to sel it for less and still make something. everyone's gotta eat... LOL...
