NO it wouldnt...I have a 3000 and want to get a 3500 and I have a 5.3 with an STS...bigger is ALMOST ALWAYS better...Street Manners will be fine...think of your truck as a GTO with a 400lbs driver

shouldnt be too big, looks like you found a good deal though, might be a little sloppy day to day driving with low throttle but its worth it

leave it at 3800 if your going to restall it go 4k or better...
...with 3800 the truck will be sick on the track and be fun as hell when playing around on the street...
