what size converter?

Default what size converter?

Im thinking about a 226/230 cam in a 5.3.

what size converter would be optimal.

mods in sig.

N/A I would say no less than 3000.

great, thats what i was hoping for.

it might see some spray in the future. would that change anything?

I would say 3200 at the least. Are you doing heads with that cam its pretty big for a 5.3 IMO

3200 minimum. probably a little bigger would b better. what gears do u have?

An '08 5.3 would have 243/799 heads, right?

Depends on your definition of optimal. But here are some ballpark numbers.....

Best track performance - 3600+

Best for DD with little track time - 3200

If you want to fill out my "Ask Chris" form be glad to help you spec a converter.

Thank you for this input Chris. It will just be for the street mainly, not to much track time. I'd be glad to fill out the form, where can I get one at?

correct on the heads! I realize this is on the larger size camshaft for the 5.3 but after doing some reading I will gain what I want out of this cam.

oem 3.73. are my gear sizes
