What size spring clamps??
What size spring clamps will fit our trucks? All the spring clamps that I've seen fit up to 2.5" wide springs, but my springs look to be closer to 3" wide. I was at Pep Boys today and almost picked up a set until I saw what size they fit and I wasn't 100% sure that they'd work. Thanks in advance

The ones I have always gotten were at Auto-Zone, I can't tell ya how wide, but the kit includes 2 plates for each spring, and 1 u-bolt. I have seen some kits that just have a single u-bolt and a single plate and I can tell you that those are too narrow to fit.

the ones from autozone are 2.5"
i made them work with mine. you have to kind of force it over the leaf by hand and then squeeze them together to get them to line up with the holes on the plates.

Just curious, did you use loc-tite on the threads? Seems like these things are prime candidates for constant loosening.

Honestly I never used any loc-tite, and they hardley ever loosened up. I had to go out and re-torque them maybe every 6 months or so--if that often. It probably wouldn't hurt for some loc-tite though.
