What size stall?
Ok, I'm still learning from you guys on performance mods. I have a 05' GMC Sierra 5.3 ex.cab. I know you guys have problably answered this a thousand times before but what size stall should put in my truck, and I plan to supercharge it soon. Mods are below.

IMO if you are running this truck as your daily driver a 3000-3200 would be a good choice. Anything lower (i.e. 2800) would be good for your current mods, but would hold the power from the s/c back tremendously in the 1/4. Now if this is a toy truck then 3500-4000 would be awesome! haha.

Thanks for the info. and it will be a daily driver. Like I said earler, I'm still learning from you guys, so what does flash mean? Still not sure what the stall does. Anyone want to give a quick lesson?

What a converter will do is while you hold the brakes it will free rev to a certain rpm before you start smoking the hides off your tries. If youo flash it its simply puttin the pedal to the floor and it will free rev to a certain rpm before it grabs then you jump off the line. When it free revs to a certain rpm you have whatever power your making at that rpm hit the wheels instead of the stock converter stalls power levels.
Basically if you have a 3000 stall...which i recommend a 3000 by the way...but if you ahve a 3000 and drop teh hammer your leaving the line with the power of your truck at 3000 rpms compared to a stock converter which will flash between 1600-1800 rpms.Basically your power is much higher off the line because your at a better power making point in your rpm band with the stall.
