What size tires with a 2/4 and 22x9.5" wheels???

What size tires with a 2/4 and 22x9.5" wheels???
Alright guys,
I have a black 06 crewcab chevy and im thinking im about to get some black 22x9.5" RT-S wheels. Ill be running a Mcgaughys 2/4 drop. I wanted to go lower but i dont wanna notch it and i have to keep it practical since its my daily driver and i haul my bikes around. Im trying to decide which size tire would be best to fill up the fender well with the 2/4 on 22's. I want something with a little meat on it so my ride is still good but not too big to where they will rub. I was thinking a 305/40/22 or something like that. Any ideas? Any help is appreciated!!

I have a 2004 ECBS with a McG's 2/4. I chose to do a notch as well since you will bottom out with a load in the bed. I haul my RC around and it weighs just over 400lbs.
Also, I run a 22x9 Centerline. Unless your 22x9.5's have 5.5" of backspacing, you are going to have problems. Further, I would suggest nothing bigger than a 285/35/22. I am running a 265/40/22 which required 0 degrees camber in front and a trimming of the rear fender lip. Unless you have a ton of backspacing, you are going to have a very difficult time with a 305/40/22.
You might want to look into a Slamair kit for the rear. I can haul and tow whatever I want without worrying.

My rims are the same size. If your running them, then i think i might just keep them. Im running the 265/40/22 tires right now but i wanted something a little wider and meatier looking. Would you suggest to just stick with that same size rim and tire and just run a 2/4 with those?

Also, which parts for the 2/4 did you buy? Im trying to decide if i should run coils or spindles for the front and im not even sure what will come for the rear of the kit since ive been told the stock hangers are welded on. What came in yours and how do you like it?

i have a 2/3.5 drop on my SS and im running 22x10's with a 305/40/22 it looks just right they are a nice and wide tires no rubbing and it rides great!!

You got any pictures from the front or rear showing down the side of the truck?

Thanks for the info 2004SSS! Your truck looks great! Im also curious to know the backspacing and see some pics from the side down the side of the truck if you have any.
Im looking for the same look. My rims will probably only be 9.5" wide though cause the 22" black RT-S wheels only come in that size. Ill probably run a 295/40/22 or something like that.
Do you ever wish you went lower than 2/4?
Im thinking again if i should just 4/6 it a notch the frame. The 4/6 is the look i want but the 2/4 is much more practical and i would really rather not cut the frame on a brand new truck even though its nothing major. Thats why i was thinking 2/4. Ill probably go with the 2/4 just to save myself from the hassle.
