i have a 2" rear drop and 22x9.5 with 305/45/22 and i rub when i have the wheel all the way turned and when i hit a nice sized dip in the road. if your doing a 2/4 i bet you would rub with 305/40/22's when you hit big bounces.

As for you wanting to go a bit lower and notch the frame, dont bother. I already tried for a 4/6" and you will have a lil problem with the driveshaft rubbing the gas tank crossmember. 4" is as low as you can go in the rear without problems unless you find a way to relocate the crossmember. If you do, by all means let me know how.

Alright man. Thanks ALOT for your help! Im going to send him an email tonight and see what kind of price he can do. Im assuming most people just keep the stock shocks with a 2/4? Thats what im planning to do for now. I may swap them out later to doetch techs or something but since the truck only has 10,000 miles on it, i dont think ill need to do it with just a 2/4. And as far as going 4/6, yea, i decided to just stick with a 2/4. That way i can keep my warranty and keep my ride practical and problem free.

Nichoms: Thanks for the info man. Im thinking i will probably run a 295/40 or something close to that size just to have the little extra clearance.

Thanks for all the help guys!!! I appreciate it!!

Yeah you can keep the stock shocks. Actually you wont ever have to replace the ones on the front because the travel distance stays the same-the hub just moves up 2". As for the rear, it will be fine for a while. When you do swap the rears I recommend Belltech's Nitro Active shocks. Brian also gets them too.

Alrighty, i will check into that as well. I was told the doetch techs and the edelbrocks were the best ones to run. Ive also heard good things about the belltechs too though.

these are the only ones i could ,find the backspacing im unsure on they dont have a website anymore because the rim company went out of business. i also have the whole suspension set up(sway bars beltech niitro active, ) im thinking of dropping it down a bit more in the rear because after installing the 6* shims it almos tlooks like it raised the rear a little. im on the first hol ein the rear shackle so im going to drop it to the lower hole and see how it looks after that!!

Sweet. From the pics, it looks to be at least 7" backspace. I can't imagine you not having any rubbing at all on the front. Take a look at your sway bar and see if there are any worn areas.

Damn man! Your truck is clean!! I cant wait to get the RT-S wheels! The black on black with the polished lip looks sick!! I also like the smoked taillights and the hood and all that other good stuff. Sweet ride man!
