What thickness metal for shock mount brackets?

The shocks will be mounted at or near the end of the cardboard, past that crease.

The longer i make them the better the angle gets, that is about max what i can fit.

I would just make sure to get as much weld area as possible and remember that the wider(taller) you make that bracket the stiffer it will be.

i agree. like the ones i cut out. i have the bracket wrapping half way around the tube.
