My custom driveshaft has 2 different sizes on the same U-joint...pain in the ****...big ends for the driveshaft and smaller on the diff. Stock size on the diff. Only thing I have to go on is a "331" stamped on the joint and E50 on the big ends. I think it's a Precision brand but O'Rileys was no help.
Grrrr
Brings back memories, I did this on my old 1970 gmc pickup with its 350 and th350 trans

With that kind of break, you may just want to go with a stronger aftermarket product.

Yep, installed a TCI plate, ARP converter bolts and am almost done putting it back together. Found the U-joint today, might be on the road tomorrow if I can get that stupid trans dipstick to go in
Then fluid and a test drive

I also installed a new valve body with a shift kit that was prepped by Vince at FLT. The last kit (from who knows) was setup to hammer the 1-2 shift. Hope I got all the check ***** in the right place And a deep aluminum trans pan. Fun stuff...

Got it all back together. So far so good. Shifts are much better thanks to Chuck prepping the valve body for me.
With the new deep pan and the fact that I did a filter change and let the trans drip drain for 4 days, it took 10 quarts to fill up

I did have to use the big hammer mod on the exhaust crossover to clear the deeper pan but it fits now lol.
