Default What Transfer Case needed?

I have a 2003 5.3L with a 4x4 4L60E Tranny. I am doing an engine swap in my Jeep Wrangler. I still have the factory Adapter on it. This is what I know...it has a 6 Bolt pattern that is Opposite to a 6 bolt pattern and 23 spline input on a NP231J. I have a s-10 231c that is a 5 bolt pattern but its a 27 spline input. So without of luck on this. What Factory Transer Case was used? Is it possible its a 241? Does it matter what year I use?

Thanks
Anthony

I used a 6 bolt pattern New Process 241. The 243 is the electronic version, I believe, since my 241 is fully manual. Try that, it's driver side drop, and I got mine from a 97 4L60E 27 splined Tahoe, 5.7L. I know of a junkyard around here locally with a good price on many of them, that's where I got mine, so if you find yourself in dire straights in need of a 241 send me a PM and I'll figure out how best to get and ship one for you.

Neither the tranny nor the t-case are in the truck yet. It's a work in progress, but I should have it all finished by the end of July. I'm doing the V8 and tranny swap all at once. My truck started as a V6 2wd.

Ya I can get a pic. If you're not in a rush I'll get it for you tomorrow evening after I get off work.

I took the pic! Now how in the hell do I get it off my phone! Lol. I've been putzing with this damn phone for hours now installing new drivers and software trying to get it to Sync up with my computer.

In the mean time to settle your ease, the NP241/243 and NP231/233 share the same housing. If you have 4wd now look at your t-case and it will be the same. While you're doing that I'm going to call Verizon and ask how in the hell to get pics off my phone!

I know a Jeep 231 will bolt up but the Spline count is different and the Bolt Holes are in the wrong location...I will have to swap parts on from the 231c form a chevy and might can get a clock ring for it... I just want to see how much it will hang down....
