RPO code M70 means you have the 4L70E like mentioned in previous post above.

not always right !!!

i think gm get a little lazy some times . because i looked in my glove box for what kind of tranny i had in my 2004 silverado 4x4 . and it sayed m30 .
so i ordered a built 4l60e tranny. go to put it in . come to find out i have a 4l65e .. so make sure you you have the right tranny first. the 4l60e is rounded on the top .. the 4l65e has a bolt hole right in center of the top . you have to get a mirror and crawl in there and look !!!!

There are more than one style of m30/4l60e. The one that they sent you was a lt-1 style not a ls1 style. The lt1 has no bolt hole at the 12:00 position as the ls1 does have the bolt hole at the 12:00 position. Who gave you this info?
