What will it take to add a factory oil cooler to my truck? Are the factory ones good?
Another question running through my mind tonight, me being the gearhead I am I never leave the stock cooling system alone on any new trucks I have. I will be eventually putting a bigger radiator in than what I currently have on the truck, but what I would really like to know is how does the factory oil cooler hookup? Do the oil cooler lines run through the radiator or are they on their own separate mini radiator? Also, does anyone have the GM PN#'s for everything I'll need? Or does anyone have the entire setup off a junk motor they may have pulled?
Thanks,
Joe

The stock oil cooler runs through the radiator. Radiator barn has the 34" core radiator with oil cooler for around $350.
From there you'll need the lines from the engine to the radiator and the part bolts onto the block that the oil filter screws onto. Sorry, I don't have part numbers.
